Razorback (1983)

Director: russell Mulcahy

Well, I was not sure what to expect from this one, but I had a pretty good time with it. A big, pissed off boar the size of a hippo is running rampant in the Aussie outback. An American yank whose wife fell victim to the pig, as well as an older gent who lost his grandson to the beast team up (sort of) to put an end to the monsters rampage. I was expecting this to be Jawswith a pig, but the title monster seemed to me to be just a sideshow to some other happenings in the movie. Lots of great photography of the Aussie outback, some weird as shit characters, and one mighty foxy Australian babe make this one a fun watch. Has a bit of an arty feel to it which was cool, since I was basically expecting a cheapie monster flick. Could have used a couple more bloody boar killings....but who am I to bitch?
