Vamp (1986)

Fairly entertaining flick that stars Grace Jones as an ancient egyptian vampire running a strip club full of vampires (From Dusk Till Dawn anyone?). Three college dudes set out from their school in search of a stripper to hire for their big college party, and of course, they decide to hire their girl at the vampire club. Now, I thought Grace Jones was a good pick to play the head vampire, as she is just a plain fucking weird individual, and this greatly helped the role she was playing. However, as for her playing a stripper, that was pretty damn laughable. Anybody that thinks Grace Jones has any sex appeal whatsoever has serious mental problems. She is like a zulu warrior on steroids or something. I laughed my ass off in the scene where she is seducing the one college guy, thinking how hard this poor guy must be acting to appear turned on by her. I felt for you dude, I really did. The movie on a whole was pretty fun, lots of vampires, most importantly naked stripper vamps, some ok f/x and humor that actually hit more times than it missed. Would be a good double bill with Fright Night.
