Horror of Dracula (1958)

Director: Terence Fisher

Man.....what memories I have of this one! Ah, to be eight years old again, glued to my t.v. on a Saturday afternoon watching all the old Hammer flicks broadcast to me thanks to "Thriller Double Feature". "Horror of Dracula" was one of the more frequently shown Hammer films on the t.v., and became a definite favorite for me. Rewatching this one after all these years I found myself liking this one even more. It has aged extremely well, and is just as effective as it was in 1958. Christopher Lee as Dracula, no offense to Lugosi, but Lee plays the character so well I'm sure many people thought he WAS Dracula after this film. Terrific atmosphere, photography, etc. Simply a classic film and a great watch all around.
