C.H.U.D. (1984)

Seems the ever trustworthy U.S. government is using the sewers of N.Y to dump large amounts of toxic waste. Only problem is, the toxic sludge is turning the populace of bums living under the street into Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers, ugly looking fuckers with large glowing eyes. The creatures are not in the best of moods and start attacking the New York populace. Cool looking monsters, some decent effects, and decent acting make this one nifty monster movie. Lots of atmospheric shots of the sewer, etc. Definetly worth a rental.
