Bog (1978)
A simply dreadful film, in fact it’s so bad I’m sorta at a loss as what to say about it. Well, almost. “Bog” opens up with some hillbilly using dynamite sticks to fish a local river. Apparently all that blasting has awakened some type of fish/man monster, presumably a left over from the artic age or something. The creature also has an urge to breed with the local female population, like the box states, “A Sex Starved Monster…Hungry for Blood!” Of course we never see any of this ungodly monster/woman breeding, nor for that matter do we ever get to see the monster itself except in extremely quick glimpses. I have the feeling the monster suit was really bad folks. The rest of the movie features two terribly inept scientists teaming up with an even more inept sheriff as they try to solve the mystery of the creature, while local yahoo’s and coppers fall like fly’s to the beast. Each kill scene is nothing more than a camera zooming into the screaming actor’s face, so don’t get your hopes up for some type of low budget splatfest. Everything here is strictly PG territory, so if you want to see a lobster man dry humping some bimbo while afterwards ripping off her head and bathing in her blood, you best look elsewhere partner. Full of simply incredibly bad acting, editing, hell you name it, “Bog” is truly a pisser.
