Taken From the Goose Island Website:

The color of sunshine, with a light fruity aroma and a hint of fruity acidity, Goose Island Summertime is the perfect summer session ale. A Kölsch beer brewed in the traditional German fashion, you’ll find yourself enjoying and savoring each sip of summertime as much as you do those hot summer days and cool summer nights.

Hmmmm. Goose Island's Summertime Beer, excuse me, "kolsch" just did not do it for me. I'm not a real big fan of summertime/fruity beers, though I thought I would take a gamble on a six pack and see what happens. Basically I got a light beer with some slightly fruity undertones and a little bit of hops on the finish. Not flavorful at all, and I actually would have preferred some more fruit in there to bolster the taste. What taste I did get was like a orange/lemony zip though very subtle. It was a very light beer...pours a light yellow color with minimum amount of head. The pic has a lot of foam because my glass was frozen. It was easy to drink however, and I would take this over a regular light beer, but you know, I'll pass on this one.

Verdict: Bland summertime beer, but better than a Bud Light.
